This afternoon we had our first walk through with our lovely Site Supervisor. (He’s a really nice guy!) Hubby had a whole lot of tradie technical questions which the SS diligently answered. All the quality things are also getting sorted. We’ve had our pest control done (this is why the bricks were initially left at the level they were), our power box done and our gas connected. The plumber is due back tomorrow after the rain washed him out the other day and the brickies should be back in the next few days once they finish up their current job further up the street. The SS says once they lay the bricks to the base of the second story, the scaffold should be erected and the rest of the bricks will then be completed. Then the roof trusses will go up and finally we get our colourbond roof. Phew. He explained the bricks are the toughest part due to the shortage of trades at the moment. So fingers crossed the weather clears so we aren’t delayed further.
